During this unit, students will be working in reading groups called literature circles. Each group will be reading one of the following books, True North, Stealing Freedom, Trouble Don't Last, or Sugar.

This unit requires students to follow a reading schedule (syllabus). A syllabus for each book is attached below. On checkpoint days students must turn in their Historical Fiction Journal Sheets (attached below), and be prepared to take a Careful Reader Quiz.
