It seeks to investigate moral, philosophical and technological possibilities by creating alternate and new realities.
Setting is outside of everyday reality either by time or place.

Fantasy: Characters or settings that could not exist in life, as we know it. Magic, imaginary creatures, and other worlds are typical characteristics of fantasy writing.
