BIO
I have a background in teaching and social work. For the 30 years I have a private practice as a psychotherapist. My main modality is psychodrama and I use this as a central frame for all my work. I'm a trainer in the Christchurch Institute for Training in Psychodrama. Psychodrama in this context includes sociodrama and sociometry. I am also a qualified imago relationship therapist and couple therapy is a large part of my practice.
During the the late 60s and 1970s I was active in student politics and general anti-war politics. I was the instigator (with Marian Hobbs) of two social projects. One was an experiment in communal living - Chippenham Community and the other a state funded "community participation" school known as Four Avenues.
A common theme I now see in my work and philosophy is a belief that people have the power for immense social change and the main task is to overcome the cultural conserves that inhibit that power and spontaneity and creativity.
