Welcome to Listening for Equality - the site for all resources for participants in the May 7-8 workshop.
This workshop was an opportunity to gather together to speak (and listen) across our various sectors, to
(1) share diverse perspectives, insights and practical strategies regarding how to encourage listening in confronting and difficult contexts (Day 1), and
(2) begin to experiment together with how these might be applied to the design of forms of engagement specifically focused on addressing socioeconomic inequality (Day 2).
To contribute to this project, we had - with your presence - a team of the country's most seasoned, inspiring, and creative practitioners from diverse approaches to performance, therapy, conflict mediation, and education, as well as some of those working most actively to engage New Zealand communities regarding inequality.
On this site, you'll find:
(1) Workshop Follow-Up: details about 500w reflections from participants on the workshop
(2) Participant Introductions: brief bios and materials provided by each participant
(3) Socioeconomic Inequality: Causes and Relationships: Resources prepared by Max Rashbrooke and Jess Berentson-Shaw on the issue of inequality
