Jennifer Parker is a trainer, mediator and restorative practices facilitator with a background in community engagement and strategy. For the past four years she has been based at Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley, leading the delivery of the region’s Restorative Justice services. She co-founded the Restorative Communities (mediation) project; Korero Tahi - Elder Restorative Circles project (for cases of abuse & neglect of older persons); and the Porirua Restorative Justice Family Violence Project. Jennifer began her professional life in the community sector followed by periods working in government and private practice with Parker Duignan Consulting. She began mediation training in 2001 and has worked in restorative justice since 2005. She has researched, tested, delivered and provided advice on community engagement and dialogue processes and has delivered hundreds of workshops, particularly in the areas of restorative processes, relationship management, dialogue, working with difficult people and effective planning methods. She will soon start a new role as Team Leader City Partnerships with the Wellington City Council.
