Travel Soccer - The PAL participates in the Morris County Youth Soccer Association (MCYSA) league.  The season consists of 10 games of which five are home and five are away.  Most away games are within 30 minutes travel time.  Most teams have two or three practices during the week with one run by a professional trainer.  This fall we have six teams participating.  Teams are formed whenever there is sufficient interest at an age group.

Coaches Information:

Can I move my teams scheduled game?

The league has specific rules when it comes to moving games:

1:  The new game date MUST be an earlier date than the original scheduled game

2:  The league must be informed at least 8 days prior to the new game date

3:  The opposing coach must have agreed to the new date

4:  A gap cannot be created where the original game was scheduled that could affect referee coverage.  If a gap is created you may be responsible for paying a ref crew for the gap coverage

My game was moved or a PCN assigned and I did not approve the new date

If this happens our league contact must be informed immediately who will then contact the league.  If we do not address it immediately you will be required to play on that date.

It's raining.  Are we still playing?

Soccer is played in the rain as long as the field is playable and there is no thunder or lightning.  2 1/2 - 3 hours before game time the coach of the first home game should inspect the field to make sure it is playable.  Anything less than two hours before the game only the referee can make the determination.  Keep in mind, the call of the first game determines if the games scheduled for the rest of the day are played or not.
