After the war Les and Maisie lived at Lee Green. They then moved to Mottingham, South East London with their 5 children. After various employments Les finally went on to manage Peter Pan's Pool at Bellingham, Catford, a popular amusement and boating park. J.M.Barrie had gifted the rights of Peter Pan to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for children and royalties were paid. The site is now, sadly, a DIY store. Still a handy man up to his death he and Maisie spent as much time as they could at their caravan in Sheerness,Kent. They were married for 49 years and just missed out on their golden wedding anniversary. On the night he died Dad had been out for a beer with Mum and just seen his favorite football team Arsenal beat Liverpool for the title.
