HMS FERRET

Barracks were taken over by the navy and commissioned on 9 December 1940 (1940-47) as HMS Ferret. located in Londonderry, Convoy escort base/Port .Northern Ireland.

HMS HIGHFLYER(Trincomalee)

Royal Navy shore establishment was home to the East Indies Station, located in Trincomalee, Ceylon. Hms Highflyer a wireless station was established in 1944. Ceased as a R.N. base 1956.

HMS MAYINA

Was a holding transit camp/shore base just outside of Coloumbo, Ceylon. To have been used as a base for the buildup of to the invasion of Japan, But was never used due to the dropping of the Atomic bombs. Used for the repatriation home of troops.

HMS PEMBROKE

Main R.N. Barracks/Dockyard, located in Chatham, Kent. Ceased 1984.

R.N.Naval base. Western Approaches Command, St.Enochs Hotel, Glasgow,Clyde, Scotland. Ceased 1946

R.N. Naval base. Torpedo,Diving,Demolition and underwater mine-warfare training, located Portsmouth, Hampshire. Ceased 1996.
