The AP Spanish Language and Culture course (re-designed in 2014) provides students with opportunities to develop language proficiency across the three modes of communication: Interpretive, Interpersonal and Presentational. Students learn about culture through the use of authentic materials that are representative of the Spanish Speaking world. Materials include a variety of different media, eg journalistic and literary works, podcasts, interviews, movies, charts, and graphs. (College Board, syllabus 4)
