In 2005-2006, I spent a year at NYU, on a SNF project devoted to the semantics of French quantifiers (2005-2006).

In 2008-2009, I spent a year at the Laboratoire de Linguistique Formelle in Paris VII/CNRS 7110, where I collaborated with Cédric Patin in trying to understand the nature of the relationship(s) between wh-phrases (in-situ, ex-situ) and prosody.

In 2010-2012, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Geneva on the project "La syntaxe du subjonctif" with Genoveva Puskás and Tomislav Socanac.

From 2013-2016, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at GIST (Universiteit Gent, Belgium), where I held a Swiss National Science Foundation-fellowship with the project investigating the internal structure of complementizers cross-linguistically, in a nano syntactic perspective . I was also working on Liliane Haegeman’s FWO-Odysseus project (Comparative syntax. Layers of structure and the cartography project), at GIST (Universiteit Gent, Belgium, 2016). There I started a fruitful collaboration with Eric Lander, collaboration that is still on dispite distance.

In June 2017 I spent a month at UQAM (Montreal) with an SNF International short visit grant, to collaborate with Prof. T. Leu on a project which explores the tension between different views on morphology specifically with regard to functional categories. The results of this collaboration are used as the basis for a book, providing an epistemological history of piece- based morphology and an up-to-date outline of the debate regarding the relation between the syntactic, morphological, and lexical modules of the human language faculty.
