CAMPER INFORMATION
CAMPER INFORMATION
2026 Registration information will be determined at the June 2026 meeting with online registration beginning in July (or June, if possible, given we are volunteers here
Registration fees pay for the VENUE, not your individual crafts. The cost of crafts is determined by your selection and the price set by the instructor. Some instructors have set specific craft sessions for each of their crafts, while others allow you to come at your leisure without having to be at their table at a specific time for a particular craft. Therefore, there is no schedule for the crafts. The instructor's information has all you need to know. If a craft is listed as Friday evening, that is the session it will be taught. If a craft is not given a specific session, it is likely that you can come when you wish. For exact or specific information, it is recommended you contact the instructor with the contact information they provide that we put on social media and in a booklet for you to download and print.
2025 Registration fees include lodging and meal: Crafts are extra and payable to instructors.
Weekend Camper - Regular Registration $120 (Crafts are extra and are payable to instructors)
Saturday Only Camper - Regular Registration $65 (Crafts are extra and are payable to instructors)
Our housing during the event is in rustic cabins that sleep 12 campers in bunk-style beds with 4-inch mattresses. There is a shared bathroom for the 12 campers that has toilets and showers. Counselor rooms sleep 4 in bunk-style beds with 4-inch mattresses and have a shared bathroom. Instructors who stay on-site are assigned to counselor rooms on a first-paid, first-served basis. If counselor cabins are full or if the instructor(s) prefers, he/she/they may be assigned to a main cabin with other campers.
Our meals during the event are beyond delicious, and generally get rave reviews from our participants. The staff will work with those who have dietary needs, but it is advised to get your registration in as soon as possible to alert us about those dietary needs so that we can pass that information along to the staff and they can be best prepared to serve your needs.
Costs for individual crafts are determined by the instructor(s) teaching the craft. Your registration fee does not cover the cost of the crafts you choose to make at camp. Contact the instructor for information regarding any supplies needed to bring, or to reserve a specific craft. Instructors cannot predict how many campers will attend or how many will want to make a specific craft, so if you have your heart set on something, you should let the instructor know.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ABOUT CAMP:
WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate clothing and footwear for crafts and recreation time. Also bring any medications you need, rain gear, clothes hangers, toiletries, towels, washcloths, sheets (or sleeping bag), bed pillow(s), soap, comb, brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, blow dryer, small fan (for the hot-natured or hot-flash impacted), extension cord(s), earplugs (some people do snore loudly), sleep mask, etc. NO SMOKING is allowed in buildings. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises. RECOMMENDED: Craft items to share, craft tools, blowdryer (to dry paint--can be the one you use on your hair, but hopefully you have another one at home because too much use can burn up a motor), apron (unless you don't care if you ruin your clothes), outlet strip because there aren't nearly enough electrical outlets anywhere ever, phone/camera with extra battery or charger, small cooler with your favorite soft drinks or water in case you don't want to get up to go to the cafeteria in the middle of the night if you get thirsty, flashlight, binoculars, insect repellant, sunscreen, paper, and pen.
PROVIDED: Mattress on plywood bunk (some campers bring a twin air mattress to put on the bunk's mattress)
LODGING: Sleeping accommodations are in air-conditioned dorms with approximately 10-12 campers.
MEALS: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served. Check your schedule for the times. Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall. Our kitchen staff is willing to work with anyone with a special medical diet, but must have advance notice. Tea, coffee, and lemonade are available during the day. Snacks are provided in the evening.
PHONE: The phone number at Brandon Springs is 931.232.7405 between 6 am and 7 pm. Not all cell phones can get a signal in the area. Emergency dispatch/911 – 877.861.2457. The address is 336 Brandon Spring Road, Dover, TN 37058
WEATHER: Bring a variety of clothing as the weather is unpredictable. A raincoat or sweatshirt hoodie is a good thing in September!
PARKING: When you enter the camp, there is a parking area to the right in front of the Activities building where the crafting will occur. We park there. If possible, we will have a golf cart available (volunteer driven--be nice!) to shuttle campers from their cars to their dorms. We borrow the cart, so please treat it very gently so we can return it no worse for our having used it!
CHECK-IN: Check in at the registration area which is in the upstairs of the building where the cafeteria is located. There is a spacious deck area at the back of the cafeteria where you can rest and catch your breath while enjoying the lake view between settling into your dorm and the evening meal.
CRITTERS: Please be aware of your surroundings. It is not impossible to see animals while at camp. Deer, skunks, and other creatures abound in the area, so be mindful of them.
LODGING
OFF-SITE LODGING
If your significant other is not a crafter but would like to vacation in the area while you are crafting, or in the event that rustic, dormitory-style bunks in a cabin with a dozen other people is not your preference, some campers choose to sleep offsite. There is no discount for staying offsite as we have to pay for the bunk whether you sleep in it or not. Please let us know if you plan to lodge offsite as we may need to find you in case of an emergency.
