9. Catabolism= substances broken down into simpler products & energy is released

10. Anabolism= larger molecules are built from smaller ones & energy is required

ENZYMES

11. Salivary Amylase= breaks down starch in the oral cavity

12. Pancreatic Amylase= with Brush Border enzymes they turn disaccharides into monosaccharides

13. Lipase= Fat Droplets + H2O--> Glycerol and Fatty Acids

20. Glucagon= Hormone produced by pancreas, raises levels of glucose & fatty acids in bloodstream

21. Gastrin= "Get Out" Hormone

22. GIP= Decreases stomach secretion, increase insulin w/fatty acids & sugar present

23. Secretin= Decrease stomach secretion/increase acid in intestines/increase flow of bile

24. CCK= decrease stomach emptying/increase acid in intestine/gallbladder release of bile

25. HCl= converts pepsinogen into pepsin
