This book is Gruff's first grammar book and contains 16 pages. It is an introduction to Gruff and how he solves crime with basic grammar. On the one side one is given instructions and on the other is a picture which goes with the instructions. It looks at concrete nouns, proper nouns, verbs and adjectives.

This book is Gruff's second grammar book and contains 28 pages. It is more advanced and pupils will need some previous knowledge of grammar. It examines grammar in more depth than the first book. On the one side, one is given instructions and on the other, is a picture which goes with the instructions. It looks at spaces, full stops, concrete nouns, questions, proper nouns, verbs and adjectives.
