Hello everyone,
Memorial Day Weekend marks the beginning of the summer season. The weather was unsettled and not the best for a summer weekend, but it was still a fun time. Several families enjoyed the brief moments of sunshine and made the best of it. It was a great opportunity for people to get their places open and start preparing for the best summer ever at the lake. I know this summer season will be one of great memories for everyone.
The marina level is still too low for launching at this time, but it is growing rapidly. I suspect we should be able to launch boats by the first week of June if the water keeps rising at the present rate. Larger boats and strait drive boats may be an exception to this. However, we have our old reliable tractor with the attachments for all sizes including a 2 5/16" ball special for Preston and Ally who's boat is usually a challenge to launch. ( I am ready for it)
Memorial day was actually a Labor day for the Johnson family who spent the day with me and Adam tearing out the deck of the cabin on the hill. This deck had been there since the beginning of time, or at least the early sixties. We will be giving it a face lift and new life.
Take a look at the pictures of this weekend and I hope to see you soon at Lazy D Ranch.
