...An Italian by birth and music education, Laura Menegozzo has an impressive musical biography and plays on a 1699 Carlo Giuseppe Testore instrument. Since 2012 she has dedicated herself to the solo viola repertoire, having made several other CDs. As a violist, it’s a delight to hear such fine musicianship and unbounded virtuosity. This is an addictive CD, with something new revealing itself in the music and performance at every listening. Highly recommended!

… the playing is artistic and very atmospheric. The finale of Max Reger’s Suite No. 1 is particularly impressive. Krysztof Penderecki’s Cadenza also demonstrates Menegozzo’s great command of the instrument and is very effective, as is the Sarabanda. Paul Hindemith’s Sonata Op 25 No.1 also receives a fine performance on her 1699 Carlo Giuseppe Testore viola.
