Clinical activities

I am a licensed psychotherapist, and my clinical practice takes place in private setting in Rome.

In that setting I'm providing Constructivist therapy for mood disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety) and eating disorders. I am more specialized in work with adults but have experience with adolescents as well.

I also provide parents' support through a relational based intervention designed to change child's behavior through changes in parent's behavior (a programme developed by Bert Powell and colleagues).

Consultation

I am available for several type of consultation in person, by phone or via Skype. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you are interested in receiving consultation.

More on my training...

In March 2013 I've completed a 4 years Specialization course in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, specialized for Development and Adolescent Psychopathology (LUMSA University and Consorzio Fortune).

The training was focused on Vittorio Guidano's approach. Whithin the 'second generation' of models of cognitive therapy give attention to constructs such as affect, early development, attachment, interpersonal processes and the therapeutic relation.

For my internship, in the period 2008-2013 I attended the Institute of Psychology and Psychiatry of the Agostino Gemelli Hospital, with the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Ruggeri. In this period I had the opportunity to follow the psychotherapy of adult patients with a wide range of disorders (obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and mood disorders).

In the period 2012-2013 I familiarized with the private practice, attending the professional studio 'In Evolutiva'. Under the supervision of Dott.ssa Katia Aringolo I have studied from a practical point of view Developmental Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy.

My final dissertation presented a theoretical digression on the importance (and the difficulties) of establishing and developing an effective therapeutic relationship with the patient, and was accompanied by a debate of the clinical cases followed during the internship.
