Happening is a Christ-centered retreat that invites youth and adults into a life-changing experience of spiritual growth, genuine connection, and joyful discipleship, equipping them to serve others and share the love of Christ in their everyday lives.

Happening is held at the Lousiana UMC Wesley Center in Woodworth, Louisiana. The address for the Wesley Center is 2350 Methodist Pkwy, Woodworth, LA 71485.

A Happening weekend lasts from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Specifically, the weekend typically begins around 7PM on Friday, and concludes around 4PM on Sunday.

Happening is designed for students from grades 9-12. Adults are also welcome to attend.

The cost of a Happening weekend for a Happener is $150. This price covers rooming and meals at the gorgeous Wesley Center, registration fees, and a commemorative T-shirt unique to your Happening weekend.

Anyone who has ever attended a Happening weekend can Staff! The Happening Staff includes positions for youth and adults.

The cost of a Happening weekend for a Staff member is $175. This price covers rooming and meals at the gorgeous Wesley Center, registration fees and a commemorative T-shirt unique to the Happening weekend. This price also covers expenses for the two Staff training weekends.

No! While Happening is a direct affiliate of the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, we do NOT require Happeners to be members of the UMC. Happening is open to ALL, regardless of denomination or religion and we consistently have members of different denominations and religions join us for Happening weekends!
