He tweaked the system to accommodate the Brazil-born Italian midfielder, most notably by shifting N’Golo Kante from his favoured position ahead of the back line further up the pitch. Sarri left Stamford Bridge and took over at Juventus after only a season, and unsurprisingly, stories about Jorginho following him now to Turin sprang immediately.
However, Frank Lampard, who succeeded Sarri in the Chelsea dugout, made Jorginho his vice-captain very soon, and only captain Cezar Azpilicueta and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga have racked up more minutes than the Italy international this season so far. Jorginho is understandably happy with the manager’s treatment of him, and according to The Athletic, he hasn’t spoken to the current Juventus boss for over a year at all, let alone about a switch to the Serie A champions.
I plan to sit for this examination and become certified as a CNS on August __, ____. Supporting Evidence: Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz is currently among the names mentioned most often regarding potential summer transfers. There have been numerous reports suggesting this club or that are leading the race for his signature, but it seems that no prospective suitor is anywhere near agreeing a deal. That is, at least, according to Raphael Honigstein, a respected journalist who recently compiled a very informative piece on the player and his current situation for The Athletic.
Bayern Munich have often scooped up the most talented players from other Bundesliga sides, thus maintaining their seemingly perpetual dominance in German football. This, naturally, makes many believe Havertz is destined to play at the Allianz Arena soon. However, Chelsea are also interested, and their recent success in stealing the march on Bayern and Liverpool to lure RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner to Stamford Bridge makes some reports suggest it’s actually the Londoners who are in front. Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs are also reportedly keen.
However, the situation is simple. Last year, Leverkusen weren’t willing to let Havertz go for anything less than €120 million, so he stayed put. They still haven’t changed their minds about getting what they believe the 21-year-old is worth, and no club has so far offered anywhere near their valuation.
