Copy-editing is the act of reviewing and editing written material to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency.
In other words, the three Cs of editing refer to
correctness, clarity and consistency
as the key aspects in editing a text to ensure it is
free from grammatical mistakes, easily understood and follows a consistent style.
