Russell Burns was introduced to yoga after breaking his left femur, and needing an alternative to his lifelong gym and running routine. It took a little while to develop a daily practice, but once he did, he knew that he needed to find my place in the profession of yoga. He began teaching on his own to friends, drawing from my yoga experience, and then attended teacher training and began teaching around Austin full time, right away.
Russell holds several advanced certifications in yoga instruction and continue to further his studies each year.
He practices and teaches daily at many places around Austin and Lakeway Texas, in studios, schools, parks, events, at home and with friends.
Russell is the Vice President and an instructor for the Free Day of Yoga, inc. a non-profit corporation, and the Founder/Director of the Austin Yoga Festival. and the Austin Yoga Expo.
He offers free or discounted classes to those in need of wellness in their life, without the means to pay for classes, and he hopes to see you in one of my classes.
