Activity Schedule

Most of our activities are held weekly (see schedule tab). We also hold General meetings, put on by the Executives, and all members are welcome and encouraged to attend. These are held semi-annually, and are usually proceeded with either a provided lunch, or a Pot Luck lunch. Small user fees apply. BID EUCHRE: Monday aft. @ 1:00 pm

Cost: $5.00 ...... includes snacks and top placement prizes. We have relaxed rules with more emphasis on fun, than competition. I know you will enjoy playing if you come out.

EUCHRE: Wednesday aft. @ 1:00 pm

Cost: $5.00...... includes top score prizes. We also have a Share the Wealth draw included in the price. There are normally six to eight tables of progressive play, and it is a lot of fun. We offer coffee, tea and snacks half way through play.

QIGONG: Thurs morning @ 10:00 am Cost: $5.00 ...... Qigong (pronounced Chee-guhng) is a traditional Chinese practice that is a system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing and meditation. It can be done standing or from a chair.

RAILROAD EUCHRE: Thurs aft @ 1:00 pm Cost: $5.00 ...... includes snacks and top placement prizes. A twist on regular euchre with the addition of 3 wild cards that are higher than the bowers (2 spades, high joker, low joker). It is so much fun. Come check it out.

CRAFTS AND CHAT: Wednesday morning @9:30 am

Cost: $5.00....( User fee, plus cost of materials)

A great opportunity to show your creative side, learn new crafts and have a relaxing and enjoyable time. Over the year, there are a variety of crafts and projects planned.

Some past projects included:

* festive centrepieces, decorative urns, ornaments

* up-cycled costume jewelry projects

* quilted mug rugs

* painting on glass

* pendants

* wall hangings, barn quilt painting

* paper quilling

* wire garden sculpture

* The cost to attend each week is $5.00. There will be some costs for each project, but in many cases, items can be up-cycled from what you harvest from home or from our favourite place, the Dollar Store. This is a work at your own pace class and if you just want to bring your knitting or other project of your own & hang out for the afternoon, we would love to see you.
