Biography:

Howard Wetmore Higbie practiced as an architect in New York before moving to San Jose with his wife Jane Higbie in 1912. He retired from his practice in 1946, relocating to Humboldt County where he and Jane remained for ten years. Jane was a locally prominent interior decorator, who with Howard established Higbie Studios in downtown San Jose in 1924.
