I currently teach in an online school supporting special education students for reading, writing, and social-emotional learning. I have 17+ years in Resource Language Arts, study skills, and offer learning support to exceptional learners and school staff. I also worked with special needs students in SAILS and Emotional Disability self-contained programs. I am currently employed with STRIDE, an online charter school of choice in Arizona. I have an M.Ed. in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University, was an NBCT Exceptional Needs Specialist (2009-2019) and am deeply invested in creating a technology-rich environment that promotes critical thinking skills. During COVID 19 school closures, I created and used Google Classroom experiences that bridged the gap for students in addition to the use of technology for collaborative learning and experience in Google educational tools.
