"Memories"

"My experience here will be treasured for years to come. Kuldip is the most gracious of hosts, and his family was incredibly accommodating. The home is located on a quiet strip right outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Bhuj. Hiking from the door awarded sights of Antelope, Crocodiles, and other wildlife amongst a canyon and a desert oasis. Getting to the city was just a 3-5 minute rickshaw ride. About the home itself: It's immaculately clean, cool and comfortable. I enjoyed very much relaxing and eating there and taking tea with Kuldip and his family. Speaking of which, staying here is an ideal way to sample and learn about Gujarati food--simple desert cuisine with plenty of spice and unique flavours. Kuldip's mother is an excellent chef. About Kuldip: I'm not sure if his profile says it, but he's an award winning responsible travel guide who is probably the most knowledgeable guide in all of Kutch. He helped me so much in getting to see the region outside of where any tourists roam, and learn about the unique people, customs, and communities of the area. Going to Kutch would have been entirely different and in no way as rewarding if I hadn't met Kuldip. I know it's only a matter of time before I return to stay here again and it's without a doubt that I'll recommend it to anyone heading to Gujarat or India in general. One of the highlights of my trip." Patrick Gookin (U.S.A.)

"Staying with Kuldip and his family is a privelege and if you want an authentic experience with a multi generation family then this is for you. The family are welcoming and relaxed so no need to worry about doing the right thing! If you are wanting to tour Kutch and see amazing textiles then Kuldip is a sensitive and knowledgeable guide, he gives 150% every day of your tour and even the time spent in the car is a great learning experience and opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects including life in India and the wider world. I have been to India six times now but I have never enjoyed an experience like this before... as you can tell I had a great time. I spent a week at Kuldips house and for three days I was touring with Kuldip on the other days it was easy to get the bus into the city (8rps) right outside the gate and then buses further afield....like Mandvi (beach)" Cherrie Stevens (U.K.)

"This was my first visit to Bhuj and my first homestay experience( for 5 days)! Absolutely loved the place and the family I stayed with. The family really looked after me like their own and were so lively and fun! Enjoyed and loved the food cooked by Mridula Aunty and Ankita. The homestay was clean and comfortable, the surroundings peaceful, quiet and serene. You'll wake up to birds chirping in the morning! As much as I loved the Rann of Kutch, this was a memorable trip also because of the family and my stay here! Highly recommend. Hope to come back again." Rupa Jayraj (Banglore, India)
