Research Experience

Over ten years research experience in systematics and diversity analysis of plants using molecular markers. I am now well versed with different PCR based methodologies such as RAPD, DAMD, ISSR, SSR, AFLP and sequencing of different regions of nrDNA and CpDNA. Apart from these techniques, I am also well versed with different computer softwares like NTSYS, POPGENE, FREETREE, TREEVIEW, MEGA, and GenAlEx, used in the systematics and diversity analyses. During the period of my research endeavors, I have visited different bio-geographical zones of the country and have acquired the experience in survey and collection of sample materials, documentation and developing passport data of plants.
