Coconut Chuck

RULES

Each company will be given one “coconut”.

The “coconut” must be chucked by one or more youth members of the company from the designated launch site in the designated direction and must land within the designated boundaries to be counted.

Boundaries may include left and right lines and minimum distance.

The final resting point of the “coconut” determines distance.

Devices may be used providing:

    • The device must be assembled at camp.

    • The device must rely on muscle power only. No stored energy of any kind is permitted. This includes is but is not limited to springs, bows, compressed air, chemical, electrical, magnetic, psionic or nuclear. The judges may allow by prior approval exceptions for air compressed by muscle power only or gravitational potential energy gained by use of muscle power only.

Any inquiries about these rules must be submitted to the camp staff well before the 7 p.m. RST launch time.
