Leagues & Tournaments

League games are expected to begin the weekend of April 4th. Due to reduced availability, we will be playing one less tournament this year:

- Unity Cup 20/20: April – May

- PMCL 20/20: April – May

- PMCL T30: June – September

- Turbo Cup or Delaware Cup 20/20: September – October

Practice

Anand Subramaniam will lead both indoor and outdoor sessions. He will provide updates regarding availability and locations. Outdoor practice is scheduled for Thursdays at theKnights’ ground starting in April, weather permitting.

Selection & Discipline

We aim to provide playing opportunities for all members, but selection is not guaranteed.

The following guidelines apply:

Membership Scope: Membership fees cover club affiliation, facilities, and administrative costs. They allow you to be part of the club community, but they do not guarantee match selection or operate as a “pay to play” system.

Selection Criteria: Squads are chosen based on availability, recent form, team balance, and fitness. The club may invite external players to ensure competitive balance and fill skill gaps.

Timeline: Availability requests are sent Sundays. Final team lists are published by Thursday at 8:00 PM (aiming for Wednesday evenings when possible).

Training: Mid week training is strongly encouraged. While attending training does not guarantee selection, it is an important factor when assessing form, fitness, and suitability for specific matchups.

Decision-Making: Two Selectors hold authority over selection. The Captain acts as a tie-breaker only if an agreement cannot be reached.

Code of Conduct: The Committee reserves the right to stand players down for disciplinary issues. Extreme disciplinary situations will result in termination from the club without a possibility of any refunds. Each situation will be assessed by the committee on case by case basics.

2026 Membership Dues

As a nonprofit, our dues cover league, umpire, and ground fees, as well as ground maintenance, the year-end party, awards, and water on match days. Food and other beverages are not included. Dues are non-refundable.

Continuing Members: $250 (Anyone who played at least one of the previous two years)

New Members: $125

Payment Deadline: February 15, 2026

If you are not able to make payment for any reason please contact me so we can work on an individual payment plan.

2026 Financial Overview

- Estimated Expenses (~$7,300): Includes League Dues ($1,600), Township Dues ($1,800), Insurance ($235), Ground Prep ($1,000), Umpire Fees ($2,000), and Year-End Party ($700).

- Expected Income: $1,540 carryover (reserved for future pitch/mat expenses), ~$5,625 from member dues, and ~$2,500 from ground rentals.

League & Tournaments

Knights will be playing in the below tournaments for 2025.

·       GPCL 40 (May-Aug)

·       PMCL 20/20 – KBT (April-May)

·       PMCL T30 Overs - (May-Aug)

·       Turbo Cup 20/20 (Sept-Oct)

·       PMCL T20 (Sept -Oct)

Practice:

·       Natraj will be leading the indoor & outdoor practice. Outdoor practice will be held on Knights’ ground starting April as soon as weather permits. Day of week can be decided by availability.

·       If possible, we will schedule some practice games before the season starts.

Selection:

As much as we try and make sure everyone gets a game on weekend, Selection in any league is not guaranteed.

Selectors have been given below instructions by committee.

·       Availability email will be sent out on Sunday and team list will be sent out by Thursday 7:00pm. Will encourage Selectors to send out on Wednesday end of the day but is not a mandate.

·       In GPCL 40 we will only select skilled, in form & fit players with suitable matchups for the day. If such players cannot be found in the availability list for the week, Knights will invite external unpaid players to fill the skill gaps.  Committee will decide on a weekly basis.

·       PMCL T30, 20/20 & Turbo cup tournaments will only be available for Knights Paid members. Selection will be based on paid status, recent form, matchups & fitness.

·       Although weekday practice is not mandatory and does not guarantee team selection it is a very important aspect while selecting the team for the weekend.

·       Captain will be consulted but 2 Selectors will have final say in the team. If there is a tie in a decision, the captain will break the tie.

·       Selectors in consultation with committee hold authority to drop players due to noncompliance of Knights rules, Disciplinary violations on or off the field.

League games are expected to start on April 12th weekend.

2025 Knights Membership Dues:

·       Continuing Members: $250

·       New Members: $125

Knights is a nonprofit club & dues are collected to pay the club expenses for the year. We plan the year according to availability & commitment. Hence Knights dues are nonrefundable. 

 All members who played for Knights at least 1 year out of previous 2 years (Paid or Unpaid) are considered continuing members. If you have trouble making payments, please let me know so we can come up with an individual plan.

Dues cover: League fees, Umpire fees, Ground fees, Clean up, Year-end party, awards and Water on game day. Food & Other beverages (Gatorade etc..) are not covered in the dues.
