The History of Lindell Blvd During the 1904 World's Fair

It was the site of the Historic Pike - a mile long intriguing entertainment and educational section of the famous 1904 World's Fair.

This presentation is a slideshow showing the current mansions built on the location of the Pike with an amazing transition from Now to Back Then as you see the Mansions now built fade into the Pike that once was and we zoom in upon both the beauty and diversity of the magnificent homes now built on Lindell and then into the amazing exhibits that made up the Pike.

This is 6115 Lindell where in 1904 the famous spelling horse Jim Key was on display in the paviolion you see on the right.

The Pike ran from Skinker all the way down Lindell to the present location of the History Museum. The main entrance to the Fair was at the DeBalevier street location. All the houses now built between Skinker and the History Museum are built on 'the Pike".
