This Feature was added during the summer of 2012. Here is what we know:
The quest is launched by a word from either the Alchemist (after the offer to buy a potion you may be given an option to mix potions): Mixing anything with crackling (other than silvery or golden, which gives you a gold bar), the Fortune Teller (pay her and she may give you a word) or the Abbot (pay him and he may give you a word).
Example: When you are given a word by the Alchemist, the hud will read: "Remarkable! The mixture quickly evaporates, forming a delicate cloud above the flask. Tendrils of vapor writhe into the shape of letter. Soon, the word "(will be different for each person)" hangs in the air, then dissipates. What wizardry is this?"
REMEMBER THIS WORD
In approximately an hour or so, you will see the following message on your hud:
"An interesting discovery is made in the hills of a nearby estate. It's a stone door, sealed with magical energy it appears to be a passage leading down into the earth. You plan to investigate in the next month or two."
"As you approach the stone door, a voice hails from the magic aura shimmering over the stone. "Speak, traveler. What is the word?" You respond: [choose your word from the drop down list] "
"The magical glow enshrouding the stone door is dispelled. The voice utters, "A good memory ... or a good guess. You may enter the dungeon"
"The dungeon lies under the property of a near by land owner. She is being unreasonable and wont let you explore it unless you grant (7 or 8) acres of your land to her. Will you pay it." Yes
"You transfer (7 or 8) acres of land to the land owner. Now you have free access to the dungeon. The stone door swings open and your party of adventurers dives in.."
'Your expedition is in the anti chamber of the dungeon, there are 3 exits from this room which way do you go. ( 3 options) " Choose one option
"A hideous crone bars your path. She warns you away from the dungeon, saying she has foreseen your doom. She offers a tarot reading to prove her claim. It will cost **** gold. Pay it? " YES
"The crone accepts your tithe of **** gold. She produces a deck of the Major Arcana. She enters a trance and mutters a few words. Finally she draws one card." The crone will draw one of several cards. The Devil, Fool, Death, and Wheel of Fortune-Death cards immediately end your quest with no return of acres.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: It has been recently discovered that Tarot cards can be "reused" from quest to quest using the following method: Whatever card you received on your last quest can be "reused" by not paying the crone. Whatever card you had on your last quest will be the one for the current one.
THE HERMIT. Rewarded if you do not disturb those who isolate themselves away
STAR: good fortune
SUN: crone withers away, a star diamond is in her ashes
WORLD: crone dies, leaves you her possessions. you find deed for 4 acres
THE TOWER: You've fallen from grace. Party hexed but continues. You may fail at the door with the crystal.
JUDGEMENT: (A) Omphalos. Luck has improved for next joust. Continues. (win next joust championship)
JUDGEMENT: (B) The voice of the divine speaks the word "Largesse" Your next visit with the mysterious trader has been predetermined. You continue on. (generosity at next trader)
JUDGEMENT: (C) The voice of the divine speaks the word "Influence". Your acumen with the next alchemist has greatly improved.
WHEEL OF FORTUNE: (A) The Wheel of Fortune spins and stops on Misfortune. You've been sabotaged! You've lost 1 acre of land., but your adventure continues.
WHEEL OF FORTUNE (B) The Wheel of Fortune spins and stops on Treasure. You are showered with wealth. You receive xxxxx Mill gold
WHEEL OF FORTUNE (C) The Wheel of Fortune spins and stopped on Glory. Crone died, and you collect a gold bar.
WHEEL OF FORTUNE (D) The Wheel of Fortune spins and stops on Death. Your adventure ends.
THE MOON: Veil drawn over minds. Hidden things shall remain hidden. continues
THE MAGICIAN: Crone hit with spell blasting her to ashes. continues
THE CHARIOT: Whisks you past the next two obstacles.
THE DEVIL: quest immediately over. no return of acres.
THE LOVERS: The crone is blinded and then killed by true love.she was guarding rare gems worth xxxxx g. Your adventure continues.
TEMPERANCE: "Moderation is Virtue, Perhaps you'll be resilient enough after all"
THE EMPEROR: you have military power...too much power
THE EMPRESS: you're rich! hand it over. before you can stop her she takes xxx gold and vanishes. quest continues
THE HANGED MAN. One of your party members is hanged on the spot. You pay restitution to next of kin with 34m gold. Adventure continues.
STRENGTH: Party's mental and physical muscles bulge. Crone backs away as energy surges over you
JUSTICE: the crone screams as she is struck dead, you find a hidden chest containing rare coins worth .....
THE FOOL...quest ends. No return of gold or acres.
THE HIEROPHANT - You're blessed with knowledge. You know too much.
THE HIGH PRIESTESS. The crone looks amused. "An intuitive one, eh? Perhaps you're smarter than you look. I shall let you pass."
DEATH: Adventure ends. No return of acres.
Next, you will be presented with a battle. It can either be Orcs, Ogres, a Cave Giant, Minotaurs, or Goblins. Choose a method to battle them by scrolling through the choices. If you make it past this battle, you will come to a door with a crystal in the center of it.
"The way is blocked by an ornate round seal, covered with gems. At the centre is a (red, yellow, green, purple) crystal with a slot for a key. What action will you take?" You may have a golden key that you've found in an acre. Use the golden key ONLY if you are given the Moon Card by the Crone. This will reveal a Moon Gray crystal in the door. Otherwise:
Red Crystal - Bash it down
Green Crystal - Pick the lock
Yellow Crystal - Align the crystals
Purple Crystal - Unlock with Magic
Moon Gray - use golden key (if you have option. If not, try magic)
You will then have another battle which will be against Dopplegangers, Drakes, Elementals, Goatmen, or Gorgons. If you defeat this enemy, you will make it to the final battle. This will be with a Gold, Red, or Elder Dragon or a Mighty Sphinx. If you defeat the final beast, you will be successful and a message will appear on the hud: "Success! the dungeon's treasure lies at your feet. You receive gold, gold bars, acres of land, blue and draught of quintain potions and possibly 1 more gold per acre."
"Let it be known that ***** of White Horse has emerged victorious from a most dangerous dungeon quest, vanquishing the menacing beast within. Hail to the hero!!"
