Kimberla Burrows was born and raised in Pennsylvania where she was trained in classical ballet from a young age.  She joined Williamsport Civic Ballet Company at the age of 10 where she danced in numerous ballet productions.  After graduating high school, Kimberla attended Allentown College of St. Francais de Salles where she majored in dance and participated in Dance Ensemble, ACTion Dance Touring Company and Young Choreography Series.

Kimberla also traveled to New York City where she took classes from Dick Andros, renowed choreographer, dancer and teacher.

Kimberla taught ballet for several years in Pennsylvania prior to moving to North Carolina.  She has been teaching in North Carolina since 2009.

Kimberla is happily married to Jason Burrows with two children, Nicholas and Lindsay.  She is a Special Needs Adoption Program Manager with Lutheran Services Carolinas.  Jason is a supervisor with Social Security Administration.  Nicholas is a Junior at NC State pursuing a dual major in Chemical and Paper Science Engineering while Lindsay is a Freshman at Gardner Webb University pursing a nursing degree and cheering.  The family attends Advent Lutheran Church where they are involved in many capacities.  They enjoy spending time with each other, camping, playing games and attending community functions.
