Lesson

*Follow the steps in order to complete the lesson on Fables: See grading rubric

Step 1: The teacher could actually read the short version of The Lion and the Mouse before showing the more creative story accompanied with a video.

Step 2: Use this template to re-write your story. Once you click on the link, choose USE TEMPLATE in the upper right corner and it will be available in your Google Drive.

Step 3: Read the directions on the Fable Plan handout and then complete the write-up. If you have trouble locating fables, check out the following site: Aesop's Fables

Step 4: Once you have re-written one of the fables, you are ready to record your write-up in Audacity. See the video on how to record your story.

*Alternative lessons:

Collaboration: Students can type up or paste the original Fable into a Google Doc and invite more than one person to revise the story.

Recording sites: If Audacity is not an option, students can use online sites to record their voices: Online Voice Recorder; Vocaroo; SpeakPipe. You can always Google online audio recorders.
