The Pharaohs Responsibilities

The pharaoh had many responsibilities in Ancient Egypt. One was to protect his country from attacking enemies. When another country attacks, the Pharaoh will go to war with the other country. This picture shows a pharaoh attacking a fort and showing his powerful army attacking a weaker looking army. Many times the pharaoh would make himself look like a great warrior in the picture so making him seem like a strong and mighty pharaoh. The pharaoh would want this so that his people would think they have a powerful and brave pharaoh leading them.

The pharaoh also had to collect taxes, feed his people, and make laws for his people. People who break or disobey the laws will have to face harsh punishments.

Relation to the Modern World:

Presidents and Rulers of the modern world also have many responsibilities like the ancient Egyptian pharaoh did. For example the President of the USA decides if our country goes to war, help write laws, and make many more decisions and ensure that the citizens of America are Safe.
