Malama Pono 'Ia Kawele'a

In 2012 the Keola Ohana took a huge leap and decided to Re-Modify our Pride and Joy Koa Canoe Kawele'a. As a small club funding is very hard to come by for this type of Project. However we were blessed to have Ron Lee (canoe carver) who was willing to help the club in taking care of the much needed modification of widening, raising the gunnels, tightening in the back of our dear Kawele'a. So to raise funds for this major project we started the Malama Pono 'Ia Kawele'a Long distance race and all profits and donations went to the funding of our modifications.
