The Kenwood Academy Band Program has received the following honors:
Invited to play at the world renowned Chicago Jazz Festival for eight (8) consecutive years (2007-2014)
Jazz at the Wood performed at Orchestra Hall at the CSO with reknowned pianist and composer Jason Moran. (2014)
- Received over $25,000 in new instruments as the Fidelity FutureStage Music Competition Winner (2010)
Received honors superior or superior ratings at both the CPS and IHSA Band Competitions each year
Awarded the Mr. Holland's Opus Grant (2007)
For four years in a row, one or more students have been selected to join the Ravinia Jazz Scholars program.
