Banquet Room

Banquet Room
This 1,200 square foot room is the banquet room.  It seats 100 people and may be rented for banquets, receptions, reunions, etc.  The ceiling beams are poplar.  Above each door is inlaid maple, surrounded by cedar and trimmed out in walnut.  The chandeliers are embellished with deer antlers that were gathered as the deer naturally shed them each year.  Within the banquet room, there are two panoramic murals, each measuring six feet tall and 20 feet long.  Debbie McBride, who is the Art Instructor at Kate Duncan Smith D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) School, has painted a depiction of this area 100 years ago.
Early Photos
Cathedral Caverns
These photos are the early pictures of Cathedral Caverns.  Most were taken from slides that Jay Gurley (the original owner of Cathedral Caverns) had taken to promote the cave.
Families and Schools of the 1900’s
These  photos are the early families that settled in Kennamer Cove and the early schools in the area that preceded the Kate Duncan Smith D.A.R. School.  Landmark buildings and bridges that have long since been replaced are reminders of how it used to be.
NOTE:  If you have any photos of other families in the area, please allow us to copy and display your photos.
