I am a Research Scholar in the Inter Disciplinary Program of Educational Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Currently, I am in my fifth year of the PhD program working under the guidance of Prof. Sahana Murthy. The focus of my work is towards the design and development of a Technology Enhanced Learning Environment (MIC-O-MAP) for developing Micro to Macro Thinking Skill by Self Mediated Learning. The subject domain is Basic Electronic Devices.
The motivation behind the selection of this topic for my research work is the existence of the fact that students think of concepts and theories taught in the classroom and experiments performed in the laboratory as two disjoint activities. There exists a need for them to realize that the readings recorded in the laboratory are a result of actions and processes at the microscopic level for any given situation. The establishment of this link between the microscopic and macroscopic world forms the base of this work.
In the age of technology, almost every person prefers learning and working on the go and at their own pace. This is one of the reasons that i have opted to develop learning modules in the self learning mode.
Prior Work Experience: I have previously worked as a Research Assistant at IITB on an MHRD project of OSCAR and developed 25 Instructional Design Documents (IDD) for a variety of topics in the subject domain of Physics, at the UG and PG level.
Prior Education: Master of Science in Physics (Specialization in Electronics and Telecommunication) from the University of Mumbai, Kalina, Mumbai.
