Dear all,
Just a quick e-mail to see how things are going with the temporary arrangement for those who are currently bowling and to remind the few clubs who are not that they need to provide a Risk Assessment and a written procedure for how bookings will be taken, recorded and managed before they can start bowling. Given the number of clubs that are already bowling I would suggest that clubs talk to each other before starting to write the Risk Assessment, perhaps using other available documents as a starting point.
For those clubs that are bowling we would be interested to know:
What is your total membership?
How many different members have actually booked and bowled up to now?
Is the booking system working?
Any other comments?
We’d be grateful for a short email reply.
We understand that the BCGBA have posted updated guidance (2a) on their website (dated 8thJuly), following recent government announcements regarding sports activity, but before the written guidance was published on 10th July.
I have to advise that our reading of the Government guidance published on Friday 10th July is that the situation for bowling has not changed, despite what is happening with other sports. The limit remains at 6 and the current arrangements are likely to go on for some time. Should Government guidance change for Bowling please be aware that this will be subject to confirmation by the Council and clubs should not change their arrangements without Council agreement.
Regards,
Malcolm
