You can use magnetic/wooden/plastic letters for any of these activities. If you don't have letters, you can use pieces of paper with letters written on them as well!
- practice singing the alphabet, point to each letter as you/your child sings.
- use the pieces as an alphabet puzzle and have your child say the letter names and/or sounds the letter.
- put a few of the letters in a paper bag - have your child reach in and choose a letter, describing the letter (e.g., curves, round, points, straight) and try to guess what the letter is before looking.
- hide the letters around the room; have your child go on a “letter hunt” and finding and naming the letters and the sounds they make.
