Kazunori Shimizu received BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from Nagoya University, Japan, in 2003, 2005, and 2007, respectively. From 2006 to 2007, he was a research fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). From 2007 to 2009, he worked at Toyota Central R&D Labs. Inc. From 2009 to 2012, he was an Program-Specific Assistant Professor of Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kyoto University. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Assistant Professor of Graduate School of Engineering Science at Osaka University. In 2014, he joined the Graduate School of Engineering at Nagoya University as an Associate Professor. He was also a visiting researcher at Ritsumeikan University from 2009 to 2013 and at Boston University, USA from April 2018 to February 2019. His research interests include Microphysiological system (MPS), Biofabrication, BioMEMS, cell-based assay, tissue engineering.
