I am a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). I have also been an Adjunct Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.

My research broadly focuses on interventions that can increase incomes for smallholders and other microenterprises in agriculture, with a focus on the inclusion of women. I also study policies and programs that can improve women's agency, migration and remittances, and measurement issues.

I have experience with research conducted using randomized control trials, framed field experiments, and secondary data. I have worked on projects in sub-Saharan Africa, Central and South America, and Asia. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Michigan in 2013, specializing in development economics and economic demography.
