Research

Research interests

My research interests are basically in the field of modeling and reasoning with uncertain information.

  • Artificial intelligence: Reasoning under uncertainty; Knowledge representation and reasoning, causality; Belief update and revision; Uncertainty theories: possibility theory, credal sets, imprecise probabilities

  • Graphical models: Probabilistic and possibilistic networks, inference under uncertain observations; Causal graphs, causal reasoning, reasoning with incomplete data; Transformations

  • Classification: Classification with uncertain/unreliable inputs; Integrating background knowledge, post-processing predictions; Explanation.

As for applications, I've been involved many project dealing with computer security (anomaly-based approaches, intrusion detection, novelty detection, alert correlation), video content management (annotation, querying, segmentation); IoT and connected objects (smart home, Health IoT, Data analysis).
