Mental Illness and its Relationship with Intellect and Creativity
This is an argumentative psychology paper I wrote for one of my classes in college. Given the great degree of contention towards those with mental illness in todays political climate, I feel that this topic is especially pertinent for today. As a musician this topic has always intrigued me, considering that many of the most venerated composers displayed symptoms of mental illness. This paper also aims at debunking certain stereotypes and prejudices held towards people afflicted with mental illness.
This is an essay I wrote for one of my American History courses. It's about the famous abolitionist Frederick Douglass, who, as I argue in this paper, is one of our nation's most powerful orators.
