This Wednesday Night I need some help to clean the patch and honestly to clean the youth space. So instead of traditional middle school youth I am asking that as many youth and parents as possible come and help from 6-7pm. We need to remove the final pumpkins and pallets from the front lawn, we need to set up a shelf and organize a closet, we need some screws and seats fixed in the youth room, a tv hung, holes repaired, and several other small projects. We can also help Mrs. Hope wrap Thanksgiving boxes and other small projects around the church. I hope we can this time to take care of our youth space so it will reflect the way we welcome others. Please bring gloves and tools to help clean and repair.
Then from 7-8pm on Wednesday we need as many youths as possible to participate in our music ministry for the next 3 weeks as we prepare for Youth Sunday on Nov 24th. It would be great to have the choir loft packed for the 8:30 and 11pm worship service. I will also have sign ups for reading and speaking parts this Wednesday Night.

When I asked for families to start looking for ways that we could take care of others, I never once hoped it would come in the way of a storm. However, that is where we are, and I am grateful for all the youth and families who pitched in to help the community. The storms of life come in many different forms; weather, illness, relationships, and so on. I believe the Holy Spirit encourages us and warms our hearts when we care for one another. It is a feeling like no other and one that we should encourage our youth to live out daily. Thank you to all the parents who model that behavior for our youth.
To those families who are struggling with life right we we are praying for you. We encourage you to share with us your struggles so we can minister to you. It is not easy to share our pain and suffering but I believe that the JDub community is always willing to listen and help where they can.
I would like to get some youth who helped someone else during the storm to make a short 5-20 second video answering two questions. 1) What did they do? (please do not say who you helped) 2) How did it make the feel to be the hands and feet of Christ. If you can send me the video, I will be putting together a small video call “Why we Care” to encourage others to help.
PS - Tonight is our 1st Middle School Youth of the new school year we can't wait to see everyone. The whole family is invited to join us for a meal from 5:30-6pm the cost is $7 per person with a $20 family max.

If anyone needs help with storm prep please let us know and we will see if we can find some youth families to help. Please be in prayer for those who have already been impacted, those who will be impacted, and those who are stressed. Please check on one another and see if anyone in our community is in need.
