Past Fundraisers

JWCL is a non-profit organization and all funds raised throughout the year are redirected back to worthwhile organizations in Loudoun County and service projects. To enable us to respond to the needs of our community, JWCL holds a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. These events are a blend of much-anticipated traditions and newly identified endeavors. Fund raising events give members an opportunity to develop their leadership and organizational skills, while also giving them the chance to get to know other members better. 100% of all fundraiser proceeds are donated back to the Junior Woman's Club of Loudoun to support our community service activities and the organizations we support.

CROP FOR A CAUSE

JWCL partnered with Back pack Buddies of Gaililee United Methodist Church. This event celebrated it's 5th Anniversary in October 2017. We host a fun day of scrapbooking along with meals, raffles, silent auction and vendors. Proceeds from the event support Back pack Buddies and JWCL charities.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

JWCL partnered with the Woman's Club of Loudoun to host Girls Night Out. This event was a home-based business party and provided attendees with an opportunity to do some advance holiday shopping while supporting local community organizations. Refreshments were provided and vendor-donated prizes were available by way of raffle.

SILENT AUCTION

JWCL held its first Holiday Silent Auction in November of 2004 featuring items donated by club members and local businesses. The event was a success and our fundraising goal was exceeded by 500%. The 2005 Holiday Silent Auction allowed us to recognize even greater success and featured local artists as well as unique gifts and spa packages. In August of 2007 we teamed with Tarara Winery for the "Toasting the Stars Silent Auction" and raised over $6000 for local charities.

SPRING SHOPPING EXPO

The JWCL Spring Shopping Expo featured local crafters and nationally known home-based businesses. Admission to the event was free and there was an "at-the-door" collection of canned foods for Loudoun Interfaith Relief. The expo also featured a raffle to benefit the Loudoun Abused Womens Shelter (LAWS). Proceeds from the sale were donated to local charities.

THANKSGIVING PIE SALE

The club partners with local pie shops to sell pies during Thanksgiving. Proceeds from the fundraiser are distributed to local charities and each year pies have been donated to organizations that provide them to individuals in need within the community.

WATERFORD FAIR

The Waterford Fair is the oldest juried craft fair in Virginia featuring historic homes open for tour, craftspeople, and entertainers. JWCL has participated in the fair as a concession vendor selling Brunswick stew, corn muffins, assorted baked goods, and drinks.
