Awards
The Secretariat urges an appropriate perspective regarding awards. No one can observe every action in a meeting or truly judge an individual's learning. The basis of the simulation is cooperation between delegations through multilateral diplomacy; there are no winners or losers. We give awards with the understanding that all students have completed a great amount of preparation and are new to the Model United Nations Organization.
Performance Awards
Outstanding Delegate: This award is considered for a student who exceeds the normal expectations of the committee sessions. Students who receive this award often take a leadership role throughout the day and demonstrate skills such as good public speaking, persuasion, ability to listen, compromise, and problem solve.
Honorable Mention: This award is considered for a student who shows great effort, preparation, and growth over the course of the day. Often this award goes to students who we see stepping out of their comfort zones and who find his/her voice or position power as the day progresses.

Position Paper Awards
Position papers are a critical part of delegate preparation. It allows students to demonstrate their knowledge of the topics and propose plans or solutions for the committee. These awards are given with consideration to: quality of writing, accuracy of position representation and topics, aligns with rules of the United Nations, and a strong proposal of solutions.
