How to prepare?
You will have 3 question in 30 minutes.
There will be no R question.
You can use a calculator, but no laptop nor pad.
It covers everything up to regression (up to (including) Day 5 note).
Solve homework 1 & 2, and practice quiz questions. Try textbook exercises from chapters 3 & 4.
We will use two classrooms for the quiz.
Classroom assignment will be posted at the door of the room 307 on the quiz day.
Please come at least 5 minutes before the quiz starts.
Answers of the practice questions will be posted here on Thursday. Check this page around 5pm.
I will only provide numerical answers, not solutions. It is your job to solve practice questions.

Solve the practice questions (which is a collection of past midterms).
There will be a R question. See R notes 1,2,3.

Materials: Cumulative (everything we have covered). But new materials after the midterm exam will get more weight; Chapter 7 and after. Topics include random variables, binomial & Poisson distribution, continuous random variable, uniform & normal distribution, sampling distribution, inference procedure, confidence interval, hypothesis testing.
How to prepare?
Read textbook & review Lecture notes.
Review homework, especially 6-10.
Solve practice questions (will be distributed in class).
There can be a R question (or maybe not). For this, review HW-8.
For the exam, bring your laptop!! You should be able to use qnorm(), pnorm(), pbinom(), etc.

This is a makeup class. So everyone has to watch the entire session. Attendance will be recoreded automatically.
