Skills

– Inventor's Make an Invention skill replaced by Fix Stuff which repairs structures over time at the cost of energy ("Heal" skill)

Make an Invention skill is now accessed from Inventor crafting. Instead of 500 sec cooldown, it costs 50 energy that is gathered over 500 sec, with a limit of 200 (i.e. you can gather energy for 3-4 days and then make 3-4 inventions)

Invention Recipe for a Troll Cake replaced with a scroll of Tips and Tricks that once provides +150 XP to the troll expending it. The scroll has slightly increased chance to be invented

– Hunter's Hide in the Shadows skill renamed to Stalk: it no longer slows him down, but now it costs him energy and works for 15 sec, with 20 sec cooldown, for less bonus damage

– (6.3.1) All trolls Panic skill renamed to Run and its cooldown decreased to 15 sec (i.e. you can run all the time as long as you have energy)

– (6.3.1) Most achievements are now much easier to acquire and level up

Reborn! (BloodForBlood)

– Thanks to BloodForBlood the game was revived for the editor of Reforged.

Models

– Festive Hat now drops in only 20% of the times when a quest is completed (decreased from 50%), but its melee armor gain is increased from 2 to 4

– Instead of providing XP gain, the Pipe of Joy is now a single quest reward item which gives Energy over time with 120 sec cooldown and unlimited use

Balance changes

– Guardian Beasts nerfed (damage and health decreased)

– The cooldown of Panic and the other normal Troll skills decreased from 25 sec to 20 sec

– Hunter stealth transition time decreased to 2 sec (from 4 sec)

Version 5.6.20: major update (7.05.2014)

Totem victory rebalanced

– Totem maximum mana increased to 1000 (x2) and the mana cost of Miracle increased to the same value (so it can revive a Troll only once per 2 days);

– Totem life decreased to 300 (from 600);

– when a Totem is built, it spawns a Guardian Beast - great summoned creature which protects the totem. As long the guardian is alive, the Totem is invulnerable. The guardian has great health and is vulnerable to all attacks - melee, ranged, magic (but it is considered Undead - cannot be poisoned nor diseased);

– if killed, the Guardian Beast can be revived from the Totem for 1000 mana, but until then the Totem is vulnerable to attacks;

– totem Spirit Banishment removed.

Item limits removed

– all non-specialized weapon and armor limits removed - any class can use any items, excluding the specialized items (Shaman still cannot use shields);

– basic run energy requirement decreased to 10 (from 15);

– Burden penalty: wearing armor increases running energy cost according to armor quality; it also affects skill and spell book use;

– Warrior's Combat Leap basic damage and stun decreased until warrior equips at least 10 weight (20 + Burden) and now it costs the same energy as Panic (10 without armor).

Overall survival reworked

– new Resting system: trolls now automatically rest, restoring 6 energy and 1 health per second when idle (autocast) and having 5% chance to heal from diseases (hunter 10%); while resting on the ground, trolls also lose 1 heat per sec (excluding Hunter); if resting near a tent, they restore 0-4 heat and more energy; resting near Troll hut does not give additional regeneration nor invisibility, but provides maximum heat and energy; regaining Health by resting does not work if the troll is starving;

– when low on energy, instead of falling in Coma trolls may decide to take a nap for 3 sec (stun); the less energy under 50, the greater the chance for an unexpected nap;

– diseases reworked to become much more nasty: the more energy a troll has lost, the more increases the chance for a Pain effect for 3 sec; the same mechanics works for beasts regarding their health; while draining health diseases won't kill the unit;

– when low on Heat, trolls may get the Cold debuff, which is now also draining health (avg. dmg -0.33/sec); the less heat under 25, the greater the chance;

– Meals now provide more Food; when low on Food, trolls may get the Hungry debuff, which has decreased effect on health (avg. dmg -1/sec); the less food under 50, the greater the chance;

– troll stats rebalanced: now 1 Strength gives 0.01 health regen, 1 Stamina gives 0.01 energy regen, 1 Speed gives 1 movement; starting stats and stats per level have been changed in a way that trolls now have a little lower normal regeneration and a little higher loss by fatigue; movement speed minimum and maximum vary a bit less between classes;

– praying for another weather change while one is still active is now allowed; praying for winter while the weather is not clear is still forbidden, but in that case the Totem energy will be restored.

A world of Pain

– Pain effect (50% mov. and att. speed decrease) now additionally increases by 20% the chance to get a power attack critical; enemy also cannot land a power attack critical while in pain;

– Fireball now deals pain effect for 3 sec (instead of stun) and has 10% chance to deal a Pain effect for 10 sec (instead of 4 sec stun);

– spell book, wands and staves magic of Slow has been renamed as Torture; it now lasts for 10 sec (decreased from 30 sec) and deals a 5 sec Pain effect in the beginning, with a power attack crit chance of 20% for 10 sec pain;

– sacrificial dagger Ritual of Blood causes 5 sec Pain.

Combat balance improved

– all weapons rebalanced: melee critical mechanics replaced by melee damage; power hit damage amplitude decreased (weak weapons are stronger, strong weapons are weaker); thrown power damage of primary weapons increased;

– all fur and leather coats now provide 10% penetration protection and improved armors provide 10% more penetration protection;

– Arcanums reverted back to single spell usage; passive bonuses removed;

– energy cost for shaman voodoo revive increased twice (now you need full power to revive a bear, alligator or troll zombie).

Class changes: Shaman

– the Shaman will be able to raise dead without Voodoo Scriptures; he will need some special Shaman Voodoo Power instead (accumulated over time the same way as Hunter's Taming Power);

– idol crafting and use removed;

– voodoo doll and sacrificial dagger are now crafted as Shaman crafting; the latter requires 50 Voodoo Power instead of Voodoo Scriptures; crafting Wand, Staff or Totem of Horror requires 10 Voodoo Power;

– Shaman skills and spell books now require energy based on the Burden energy cost;

– Shaman's sacrificial dagger is now crafted from Horn Dagger with the corresponding melee bonus.

Class changes: Warrior

– the usage of Warrior skills (Leap, Tactics) now requires energy = Burden;

– Juggernaut tactics mode improved - it now gives +10% to evade power criticals and decreases 10% movement speed (improved from 15%).

Other gameplay changes

– Froll breeding and respawn removed in order to decrease lag; there is a single Froll Village now, with a Mana Stone inside and four Froll guards;

– Carnivorous Plants disabled due to some instability;

– towers auto target only enemy trolls (not animals, birds etc.). They can still manually shoot another target;

– trolls and elder beasts now drop the same type of skull, called "trophy skull"and used in all skull recipes;

– Demonic Voodoo Masks now give +10% chance to evade a power attack critical, but the duration of Invulnerability use was decreased from 5 to 4 sec;

– cooking and fishing perks acquired 33% sooner;

– Wall health decreased to 200 (from 300); walls have shorter view range;

– an invention added: MechaGolem;

– mana crystal removed from crafting recipes: the recipes that once used it now require mana stone (sniper gun, empowered spells); sniper base damage decreased to 50 (from 60);

– Rabbit and Raccoon quests now require only 3 furs; all Boss beasts maximum and starting health decreased.

Interface

Bugfixes

– a stolen Totem kit cannot be built in order to obtain 2 Totems;

– Extract Seed in Voodoo Hut now works properly;

– all known bugs with Guardians fixed (when owner dies twice or leaves game);

– lightnings on trees are working again;

– if the game starts with computer players, they will be defeated immediately;

– if players do not pick troll class and wait 1 day until Totem is auto-built, it will be picked a random troll class and the Guardian beast will now properly appear;

– when a lightning hits totem, eternal rain should not be happening anymore (not tested);

– when you place the totem in the beginning of game it should not increase food of each player to maximum (not tested);

– the bug when picking random troll has been fixed.


Version 5.5 (1.04.2013)

Totem & Defeat

– having a Totem is now a victory/defeat condition: a tribe which has lost its totem gets IMMEDIATELY wiped out by the angry Troll God and loses the game;

– by default every tribe starts with a Totem; if not built in 1 day, totem gets auto-built at tribe starting position;

– when totem used for climate change and the weather is already changed, totem mana is being refunded;

– totem life increased from 300 to 600;

– totem shield mana cost decreased from 500 to 250;

– totem healing amount decreased from 50 to 25, healing cost reverted back to 50;

– totem's ritual of spirit banishment mana cost decreased from 100 to 50;

– totem's spooky aura now damages enemy spirits HP and mana in 3000 range, killing them faster and disallowing them to sell soul nearby;

– ring of resurrection can now be used once per two days (it was once per day);

– selling soul and using ring of resurrection revives near the Totem;

Shield ranged blocks nerfed

– da big shield – per 8 sec (it was per 6 sec); it is now usable even by Shaman (quest item)

– giant shield – per 10 sec (it was per 7.5 sec)

– iron shield – per 12 sec (it was per 10 sec)

– bronze shield – per 14 sec (it was per 15 sec, but the tooltip was saying per 12.5 sec)

– tortoise shield – per 16 sec (it was per 20 sec, but the tooltip was saying per 15 sec)

Armor rebalanced

– bone armors removed – now bronze armors are being crafted directly from hard leather armors;

– metal armors slightly improved to give more penetration defense;

– fur armors provide slightly less heat; lining a fur armor now gives penetration defense instead of additional heat (gambeson);

– tortoise armors provide less melee protection and more penetration defense (up to 40 % if lined);

– new Warrior class crafting: level 4 Bone Armors, which give damage return and bonuses to the Combat Leap skill;

Crafting changes

– net has been removed from warrior's crafting; instead of it the warrior can craft any spear;

– in the Voodoo Hut added a crafting for Parchment;

– Poison Gas, Repair Hammer and Mining Pick removed from inventor crafting; Wall and Watch Tower added instead;

– Fuel and Black Powder are now crafted in one recipe;

– new Inventor class crafting: Flares (flares can be used in 1800 range to reveal the Jungle in radius 1000 for 10 sec, cooldown 10 sec; 6 flares crafted from 1 Black Powder, 1 Tinder and 1 Wood;

Jungle Froll Tribes

– a new island was created in the middle of the Jungle where hostile frolls dwell near their Froll Hut;

– when populating the map at game start there is 5 % chance per watery location for a single Froll to be spawned;

– Froll Huts slowly spawn frolls (1 per day);

– frolls periodically catch fish and bring it to the nearest Froll Hut; fish caught gives 10 % growth for the next froll spawn and restores some life to the building;

– frolls are armed with harpoons and can rearm if necessary, but fighting and rearming costs them energy and in result slows their resource gathering;

– frolls have a small chance to find mana stone; when a mana stone is brought to a Froll Hut, it becomes a Froll Village which has two times more life and two times slower froll production;

– when obtaining Mana Stone, a Froll Village may spawn a Froll Hut nearby;

– when they build a Village and 2 Huts, frolls will launch attacks against troll totems and other buildings;

Forest fires

– molotov cocktails now cause forest fire instead of their previous effect; Forest Fire deals 10 damage/sec in a wide area to units, trees and structures, burns resource items and can spread further;

– forest fires can last 10-50 sec (depending on chance, weather and difficulty);

– lightning on a tree when raining has 5% chance to cause forest fire; flamethrower – 10 % chance;

– forest fire gives XP and Bomber achievement points if started by an inventor;

Herbalism overhaul

– herbs now appear as bigger plants at the common places for Berry Bushes and give 1-3 herbs as fruits just like Berry Bushes;

– herb seeds now require Greatest Elixir for crafting;

– the Alchemy achievement now gives 25% chance per level to gain a potion of the Greatest Elixir (instead of an additional potion of the same type);

– tree seeds are crafted in random number between 5 and 10; the selling price per seed is decreased to 1;

Death system improved by A.Dominion

– trolls keep their weaponry and armors upon dying; when restored to life by Totem or Pact with the Devil, they automatically retrieve their equipped items;

– troll spirits have 1 slot inventory and can eat meat like other monsters to keep them undying; the "True Spirits" mode removed;

Some minor improvements (overall gameplay, stats and abilities)

– the price for buying back a soul now doubled – requires 100 gold; Sell Soul now can be done in 25 sec after death (down from 50); button position changed to prevent misclicks;

– Pet's Den do not disappear when a tribe is defeated and now it can be captured (if neutral hostile) by a troll hunter; totem of horror and torch cannot be captured anymore;

– at Easy mode Health regeneration speed increased, Energy loss decreased; at Hard mode Energy loss slightly decreased;

– towers cannot use club type weapons anymore (only ranged weapons);

– mining achievement now more easily obtained;

– mining pick and thunder clubs use double cooldown for power attack (20 sec);

– fixed an issue with froll aggro in Tactics casted trigger;

– increased duration of Mirror Image, Double, Vanish and Invisibility spells and staves/wands, so they could be more useful;

– battle horn in addition to its melee damage bonus now gives protection from fear (animal fear of fire, spirit's Scare) and taunt (animal aggression upon attacking or casting);

– hunter's Tame Beast ability reworked:

– now the hunter is not channeling Tame Beast, but he needs to stay in 500 range of the animal for 20 sec;

– the ability now requires special taming energy depending on the animal tamed – stronger beasts require more energy (for a bunny – 20; for a piglet – 50; for a bear cub – 100);

– rotten animals are now protected from natural diseases from mosquitoes and rats (not only from spells), as intended;

– fixed a bug which was causing trolls to have lower disease resistance after the time when Antidote protection expires; disease protection of Antidote will be reset upon death;

Spell books reworked

– in order to remove some exploits the Arcanum spell books have been made with shared cooldown (casting a spell makes the whole book unusable until the spell cooldown recharges);

– to compensate the shared cooldown most of the spell book cooldowns have been reduced;

– casting time of most spells increased from 0 to 0.5 sec;

– some other balance changes have been made (Hex duration reduced to 5 sec, Regeneration effect decreased to 1/sec, Lightning cooldown increased to 20 sec, some mana costs changed);

– Arcanum spell books will now give additional bonuses (Arcanum of Light + 25 health, Arcanum of Shadow 25 % passive chance for invisibility for a few seconds, Arcanum of Darkness +50 energy);

Explosives reworked

– grenades', rockets' and molotov's cooldown increased from 5 to 10 sec;

– grenades, rockets and molotovs now use the bonus of the Bomber achievement;

– poison gas now deals 100-200 damage over 10 sec in a wide area and is considered an explosive (contributes to and uses the bonuses of the Bomber achievement); it has bonus damage to mosquitoes;

Achievement system

– there will be a button Soul showing whether the troll still has a soul or not;

– all achievements of a dead player will be visible and usable so everyone would be able to see whose memorial is this and what has he achieved;

– the button Dead will show the user an extended message about the dead troll's life and deeds (days survived, worthy enemies slain, hearts eaten);

– rockets contribute x2 and molotovs x3 to the Bomber Achievement;

– the bug with inventor losing his Dismount ability after dismounting a totem, totem of horror, siege tower or siege machine – fixed;

– rotten antelope is now immune to venom and diseases like all other voodoo revived beasts;

Gameplay

– mining rebalanced: quantity of Stone mined from Rocks and Flint mined from Hard Rocks increased by 50 % (there will be gathered 1-5 resources per drop instead of 1-3);

– mining pick is now level 1 (so now it can be used by Shaman);

– warrior's Tactics skill now requires 10 energy to use (reduced from 15);

– trollish towers are now able to use a shaman's staff as a ranged weapon (but not wands nor spell books);

Beast changes

– In order to make the game look more like an ancient Troll Jungle, all wolves (except the Boss) have been replaced by Kuhneghetz's Sabre-tooth Cats. In comparison to wolves the cats have:

– 25 % less health;

+ 25 % melee attack evasion;

– do not have the canine detection of stealthed units;

+ they can become stealthed themselves, prowling in the Jungle at 50 % movement speed; the chance of a cat to play stealthy is rolled every 10 sec and depending on age it is 50 % / 33 % / 25 % (kittens / adults / old);

– Rats overhaul:

– Rats now breed instead of just spawning (in the way Frogs breed); when aging they become Mangy Rat with increased damage and health and double chance to inflict Plague upon attacking;

– young Rats now can be tamed or zombified by Voodoo Revival (at the cost of 1 meat and 2 Voodoo Scriptures if no other animal's skin is there, the Shaman creates a Rotten Rat);

– alligators now lay eggs which can be "tamed"; alligator hatchlings have now more health and cannot be tamed;

Achievement system

– trolls will now have an additional menu available by ability, showing all troll achievements and professions: Alchemist, Cook, Fishermon, Miner, Beast Master and Trapper (hunter), Destroyer and Tactician (warrior), Master of Puppets and The Chosen One (shaman), Sapper (inventor), Ballistics and Merchandise (the whole tribe);

– achievement Miner improved to match the improved gathering of stone and flint;

– for the achievement Sapper the Inventor gains a small amount of XP upon use of any explosives + the XP taken when Remote Mines and Bombs are killing enemies; Sapper now gives better suppression for Remote Mines (5 sec);

– the ability showing an achievement can be used to give information about the progress to the next level of the skill;

Bugfixes

– fixed the annoying "famous trader" message;

– fixed some tooltips and keyboard shortcuts;

– ensnare traps now correctly contribute to the "Master Trapper" achievement by 1/4 of the XP of the creature caught;

Testing info

In version 4.2 a new option has been added to the game: Tribe Change. For now it is just for testing.

Be warned, it may not work well or even cause a critical error, just use it in the end of the game, for example when only a few players have survived, to form new balance of the teams.

Commands:

-leave – the troll leaves the current tribe and becomes an outcast.

He loses all buildings to the former tribe mates.

Becoming an outcast is a prerequisite to be able to join another tribe.

-invite ## – where ## is the number of the invited player, for example 01 is Red, 02 is Blue etc.

Invites somebody to join your tribe.

If more than 50 % of your tribe mates agree on that, he becomes part of the tribe.

-accept ## – where ## is the number of the invited player.

-veto – if any player uses it, all invites and accepts of his tribe will be nullified.

One player may vote only for 1 invitation at any time.

– tamed animals will no longer wander around by themselves;

Version 3.8 (28.01.2011)

Gameplay

– pet's den health decreased to 100 (from 150);

– when cold, trolls need to accumulate only 50 heat to get rid of the "freeze" effect (requirement decreased from 100 heat);

– if troll spends a few seconds in water, he becomes wet (losing more heat and having 10 % chance to slip and miss in melee attack);

– new disease: Flu – as long as troll heat is 0, there is chance 10 % every 2.5 sec to contract this disease. Effect: small health loss + tiredness (mana loss) + fever (small heat increase); the troll sneezes and reveals his position to nearby enemies;

– all diseases have been reworked by A.Dominion and now there is a chance for a diseased troll to contaminate another troll who is near him; Antidot gives increased resistance to contamination for 1 day;

– fishing system rebalanced to allow better chance of successful reeling (now minimum 75 % chance to catch something);

– traps cannot be built two and more at the same place.

Gameplay and performance (A.Dominion)

– daggers and spears can be poisoned by a single venom held in inventory; weapon poisoning lasts for 10-20 attacks, then wears off;

– new troll ability: Stumble Upon (allows trolls to see invisible things they encounter at melee range);

– thorny vines are back, but take care some of them are actually poisonous vines! (thorny vines are a type of bush – can be cut for tinder);

– merchant shop sells basic resources by default, and herbs, mana stone and oil – with the trade agreement;

– crabs' life cycle reworked, new type of crabs – Hermit Crab – lv1, the River crab is now lv2, Imperial crab – lv3, added active skills to all;
