Mechanical Energy
Founders of Conservation of energy, Kinetic, Potential
Galileo had published his research on kinetic and potential energy. Although he did not state it.
Gottfried Wilhelm was the one who created the equation for motion connected with kinetic energy. Year (1676-1689)
Rudolf Clausius In 1850 he had gatherer information on the equations of energy he was the one who called it the law of conservation. Also there were many types of energies like thermal, solar, electrical, Work(Mechanical), potential, and Kinetic. Those energies intersect however the sums of energies never change. In this experiment we have Work (mechanical) Potential Energy, and Kinetic Energy. The motion of many objects often involve the combination of potential and kinetic.
Potential energy was found by William Rankine a 19 century scholar who was a Scottish engineer. When an object is set into motion, the potential energy in converted into kinetic energy.
The term Kinetic Energy was found by William Thomson in the late 1800s.
Rudolf Clausius , William Thomson, William Rankine Background in science .
Rudolf Clausius: (1822-1888) Born January 2, in Koslin, Prussia Poland. He was a German physicist. A physics professor as well at the Artillery and Engineering school in Berlin in 1850. Started the equivalence of heat and work in so the first law of thermodynamics also developing entropy when he named it in (1865) Those are some of the things he did in his life and on what he contributed on.
William Thomson: (1824- 1907) Born June 26 death on December 17. Born in Belfast, Ireland. he was educated in the university of Glasgow, Cambridge University, His occupation was as a physicist, Academic Author. He was know mostly for he developed a temperature scale based on absolute zero, it was named Kelvin scale.
William Rankine: ( 1820- 1872)Born on July 5th Edinburgh. Died on December 24 in Glasgow. He was a Civil Engineering and Mechanics Professor.
