Camp Fee: $325.00 US dollars
Camp includes: Total of 3 different Host Families during the visits around the state.
Campers will live with a primary host family in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area the first week, last week and on weekends through the camp term. Campers will have different host families while staying in the Wimberley and Lubbock areas.
Average Temperatures in Texas during the Summer are: around 95F - 105F (35C-40C ).
Sunscreen is highly recommended!
Host families, as well as most facilities & buses will have Air Conditioning, that is usually kept around a cool 72F (22C)
Bring comfortable casual dress wear and bathing suits.

1st week: Arrival & getting to know DFW Host Families, sightseeing around DFW: Sponsored DFW events: George W. Bush Museum, AT&T Stadium tour, Mesquite Rodeo, Texas Rangers Game, 4th of July Celebration (USA Independence Day), Lions Club visits.
2nd week Trip to Lake Texoma area: Sponsored Texoma events: Swimming & Boating, Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Grayson County Justice Center, Judge Fallon’s courtroom, Lions Club visit, Hot Summer Nights Concert in the Park, Lake Texoma Sailing Club.
3rd week Trip to Wimberley (Host Families)/San Marcos area: Sponsored Wimberley events: Bob Bullock Museum (Texas History), Jacobs Well & Blue Hole, Alamo, Riverwalk Boat tour, Texas State Edwards Aquifer Center, San Marcos Lions Tubbing, Lions Club visits, Boot-N-Scoot dinner & dance.
4th week Trip to Lubbock (Host Families)/Palo Duro Canyon: Sponsored Lubbock events: Welcome reception, Slaton Air Museum, Science Spectrum, Texas Boys Ranch, Cowboy Heritage Museum, Lions Clubs visit, Pool Party, Tx Tech Rec Center, Joyland Amusement Park, Main Event, Adventure Park, Palo Duro Canyon - watch “Texas” production.
5th week: time w/DFW Host Families, sightseeing around DFW & Departure: Sponsored DFW events: 6 Flags Amusement Park, Billy Bob’s Texas - line dancing, and the Farewell Dance.
The camp officially concludes with a Farewell Dance & Dinner (prepared by the campers) where campers bring a favorite dish that they have prepared representing their country to the dinner. After the dinner the Camp Counselors & Board present District pins, gifts and an award to the Male & Female Campers of the Year. The campers then enjoy a dance party with lots of fond farewells. Campers normally depart the Sunday or Monday following the Farewell Dance.
