Love and Wedding Bells

Lightly, O lightly we bear her along, She sways like a flower in the wind of our song;

She skims like a bird on the foam of a stream, She floats like a laugh from the lips of a dream.

That was a poem by Sarojini Naidu from 'Panorama' that evoked the most vivid mental imagery. A single pearl --swaying on a string, being lightly carried on by the Palanquin Bearers.

Finally the heart was set....................................... and set on the wrong person!!! Four years of trying to persuade the world that he would not be a bad choice after all, I married Abhijit. And with him married into an enormous family of uncles and aunts, near cousins and distant relatives, grand mothers and grand fathers, maids and domestic helpers--each one of them that showered their love and welcomeness that has continued till this date with the same fervor and affection.
